The Arc of Iroquois County employs approximately 175 employees. The Arc offers full-time and part-time employment in most areas of the agency.

The biggest group of staff we employ are the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). These individuals have a great amount of responsibility because they work directly with the people with disabilities either in their homes or at their job.

The DSPs have to go through 120 hours of paid training. Once they complete this training they are certified with the State of Illinois and this gives them the opportunity to work in other agencies such as ours without having to go through the whole training program again.

The hiring of employees shall be based on qualifications and abilities without regard to sex, race, color, national origin, religion, age, handicap, or marital or veteran status. E/O/E

Benefits for Full-time employees include:  health and $10,000 life insurance (dental also available), pre-tax program for out-of-pocket medical and day care expenses, 403 B retirement plan available, paid time off for both full and part-time, service bonuses, educational assistance.
